Splinter's Parents get a little bit smarter

We enjoyed getting to see all of the prospective grandparents this past weekend as we celebrated our graduations. Above are pictures of Scott's from Smith Business School at UMD (Scott is the middle one in the line-up) and Sally's from the Education School at JHU. We are enjoying some quiet time. This week Splinter also made his or her presence known. While Sally had been feeling the fluttering of what was most likely movement for a while, she got a swift knee, elbow or foot that left no guessing as to the source.

Turnip!

We have made it to the weight of a turnip. Having gone from no doctor's appointments to three this week, we are pleased to say all is going well. Hopefully we will avoid the doctor until the June 3rd visit. In the meantime, both of us will graduate this week. We are both enjoying some R-n-R having finished the requirements! We look forward to celebrating with all of our parents.

June 3rd

I had another successful doctor's appointment yesterday. I heard Splinter's heart beat loud and clear. We are looking forward to our next ultrasound on June 3rd when we get to find out if it is Splinter or Splintess :)
In the meantime we are enjoying feeling the first flutters.

SOOOOO Sweet

Last night was my last night of grad school class. I was completely touched because my classmates along with the professor threw me a surprise baby shower. Splinter now has his/her first outfit along with bibs to protect the beautiful white outfit. They took me totally by surprise and I was very flattered. It was a very memorable way to spend my last class of school. They are a great group!

Starting to look like it

Here is a picture of me taken last week. I am starting to show particularly in the right shirt. Splinter had a good week though she/he is still causing some morning sickness :) Here's hoping week 15 is the magic week.
P.S. The poems in the background are Haiku written by my teaching partner Fran.
