Smiling at almost two weeks

Here I am next to the penguin. It is a couple days early, but mommy says bringing a two foot penguin to Atlanta is not a good idea in the car with me, Mommy, Daddy and Catherine. Please keep us in your thoughts as we drive for ten hours. They are hoping I will sleep most of it. Happy Holidays!

Eight Weeks and Content

Here I am being very content. Mommy and Daddy have noticed more of that lately. I am learning how to observe the world and enjoy taking it all in. I have recovered nicely from my shots and Mommy was able to get my birth certificate so I can fly!

A quick update

I made it through the first round of shots and the doctor says I am growing very well. I was not pleaed with the shots, but have not been too hard on Mommy either. We are now ready to travel to Atlanta soon for Christmas and my Baptism (whatever that is)

Smiles before the shots!

Here are cute smiles from this morning. Mommy and Daddy are talking about something called the doctor that I have to go to tomorrow. They are talking about shots and how I won't like them. I don't know about that but we shall see.

Seven Weeks

This is my friend James. He is an older man at 5 months. Mommy said I was flirting! His mommy Beth and Mommy met in the Junior League. It was fun to meet both of them.
This is me in my swing the day I turned seven weeks. I am even taller now than I was last week.
I like to eat Daddy's nose. It is a fun game and he makes lots of noise.
This is one of my favorite games...Super baby! With me up to 11 and a half pounds it makes Mommy's arms tired quickly!
Here I am grinning at the camera. I am getting good at smiling, but it happens more in the morning than the evening...

Aunt Amanda and Progress

My Aunt Amanda came to visit this week! It was great! She took all sorts of pictures, cooked for Mommy and Daddy, helped organize and generally made them very happy. I made them happy when I slept seven straight hours one night. I have only done that once, but I try for five to six most nights (though I have to give them a rough night every couple so they appreciate the others). Also I went to lots of interviews this week. I am not sure about them, but Mommy is happy because she has found a wonderful nanny for me and Edina once she and Danielle (Edina's mom) go back to work. She seems very relieved. Thankfully that is not until the end of January.

In the meantime here are some pictures. This one is me and Mommy hanging out.
This is me after the bath. I have funny hair and I am not HAPPY!
Here I am with Aunt Amanda. The onesie says "little stinker" which sometimes I am :)
This is one of my favorite outfits. Mommy and Aunt Amanda decided I am the pink Buddha in this one.

Six Weeks and More Thanksgiving pictures

It has been a busy week. I have made some sleeping progress though everytime I let Mommy and Daddy think we have a system I go and have a rough night...Oh well the better to keep them on their toes.
Here is the Thanksgiving meal. I was good and spent most of it happily in my swing and Daddy took the picture. I am told that next year will be lots more people. Mommy's family came to us this year because I am too little to fly yet.
Here is Daddy and Uncle Obbie frying the Turkey.

Friday night we went to some place called Chevy Chase and we had our first dinner out. Mommy says I was very good and slept almost the whole time. I was not even quite awake for this picture.

I also got to go on my first walk in the stroller with Catherine. We think that is going to work out very well. I went to sleep and then slept over an hour when I got home.

I went out to lunch for something called Fish and Chips with Mommy and Granny in Alexandria. We also went shopping. Granny and Mommy are good at that. Granny pushed my stroller. I liked the bumpy sidewalks. It was fun.
Here I am at six weeks. I got to wear my turkey suit again for fun. I am really starting to interact with people.
I even smiled right at Daddy. He got a very big smile back for me. Mommy is hoping she will get hers soon. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! Mine started on Tuesday when Granny arrived back to play. Grumps and Uncle Obbie arrived to join the celebration on Wednesday. Uncle Obbie likes to snuggle with me. We miss Aunt Blake. We are excited to see lots more family for Christmas including Aunt Blake's Mommy and Daddy. I am told they are excited to meet me. Grumps likes to hold me. He admires my reddish hair while I sleep. No one is sure what color my hair will be in the end. Same goes for my eyes that are still blue for the moment.
Here I am in my outfit for Thanksgiving. There are even Turkeys on my feet. What was Mommy thinking? I am in my carseat which is currently my favorite place to sleep. I am still fighting sleeping in my crib, but I sleep pretty well if Mommy takes me for a drive before bed. Mommy and Daddy welcome any tips to help me figure out the sleep thing :)

One Month and One Day

I made it to one month yesterday, but I kept Mommy so busy it took her until today to post my birthday pictures. They have decided to take my picture next to these two penguins, but they can't decide which version they like better. I am certainly getting much bigger.

My Aunt Jeannie from Mommy's work came to meet me today. She was very good at calming me down.
Mommy's friend Jill came and brought me a friend, Sydney, to play with. She and Mommy met in prenatal yoga classes and I was born one week after Sydney on her due date.

This is a picture of me and Sydney together in bed. She was smaller when she was born, but she is working hard at catching up. She reminded Mommy of what it used to feel like to hold me.

Four Weeks!

I made it to four weeks! I weigh over nine pounds and the doctor is thrilled. Mommy is realizing that all that time spend feeding working. Now if I would let her sleep :) Here I am in my swing. You can see I am taller.
I am almost as long as my friend Lulu!
I like to dance with my daddy when I am mad.

Lots of Pictures

We have had a busy week and with the departure of Grandma and Grandpa (Wood) I have been keeping Mommy and Daddy pretty busy. I also got a stuffy nose that has made sleeping and eating a bit trickier so they have not had a lot of sleep. They are very excited that Granny (Ashe) is on a plane on her way here to help this week. Anyway Mommy is finally getting to posting pictures of all sorts of fun things.
Mommy was excited to learn that I like riding around in this thing. She even let me have my head showing for this picture though I have to have support for now.
Grandpa let me take a nap on him. There was a funny noise while I was sleeping...I think he was snoring :)
I still like throwing my head back. My hair is not so red in person as in pictures, but we shall see.
Daddy gave me my first bottle. Mommy took lots of pictures. She had to work hard to get me the bottle :)
I also got to meet Fran this week. She teaches with Mommy. She misses Mommy at work, but let me nap on her. Next time I promise to wake-up to play with her. Mommy loved having visitors from outside to hear about the news.

THREE WEEKS!

At three weeks I find looking at myself lots of fun. I have enjoyed having Daddy's parents here. Grandpa Dave is the king of getting me to calm down and Grandma NeNe has been cooking up a storm for Mommy and Daddy. We will miss them lots when they go.

Tummy Time and More Visitors

I forgot to mention that I got to meet CJ and his parents this morning too! He is a baby like me but much bigger at 11 weeks old. He told me about the cool places I will get to go. It was a very busy day around here. Mommy also wanted to post this cute picture of me learning to use my neck during tummy time. I am actually starting to like it.

Lots of Visitors and a New Toy

I have decided I like my toy penguin. It is the first thing I have "played" with. It kept me happy for quite awhile last night.
I met my cousin Denise today. She is great. She promised to take me shopping and I can only hope to dress like she does.
This is my Great Uncle Victor, Grumps' brother. He came all the way from Poland to see me.
Here is my Uncle Daniel who finally had his picture taken holding me. He has met me several times, but we finally got our picture taken together today.

A bath and Daddy's Daddy

I am not convinced that I like these bath things. Drying off may be the best part.
This is Daddy's Daddy who arrived today. He is still deciding what I am going to call him :) I was happy to nap on him during what has been a very sleepy day after one filled with eating yesterday. They are talking about a growth spurt around here.

Too cute!

Grandma and I are having a great time. She is helping mom lots by keeping her fed and the laundry done plus she holds me a lot :)!
Daddy has his own special way of making sure I don't roll off the couch while we watch Seinfeld together.
I am very curious about the world around me.
